Our plates are very popular with events organisers who are looking for something easy to recycle or compost after an event but are useful for holding food. We have a range of sizes available for either table food presentation or smaller for users to load with nibbles.
The Bagasse tableware is compostable as it is produced from 100% sugarcane fibre, a waste material when sugarcane stalks are crushed. This makes these products naturally compostable but also suitable for hot, wet and oily foods, offering superior performance to paper or polystyrene (now banned) equivalents. Bagasse is also suitable for use in the microwave, and can be frozen too!
Bagasse plates are commercially compostable and degrade in as little as 30 days.
