The BB140-1CL NS is the biggest plastic wine glass that we currently stock. Made in the UK by BBP, it is of the highest quality made from virtually unbreakable polycarbonate plastic. They are non CE stamped
plastic wine glasses which means they can only be used by licensed premises if they have a CE bar measure. They are ideal for outdoor living where glass is not suitable and it isn't as convenient to keep topping up the wine glass! A typical wine bottle containers 750ml so this wine glass will comfortably take half a bottle if necessary.
As it is manufactured from polycarbonate plastic, the plastic wine glasses are virtually unbreakable in strength, so when it is dropped or trodden on it does not break. Polycarbonate is also suitable for up to 500 cycles before going cloudy in a dishwasher meaning it is just as convenient as normal glasses.
The plastic wine glasses are of high quality, clear to view the contents and heavy sturdy feel. There are two very slightly seams on the body of the glasses and the base is stamped with the BBP manufacturers marks. The overall experience of drinking wine from this glass is only just shy of drinking out of real glass, but of course without the safety worries.
There is a CE stamped version of these glasses, but they are not stocked (approx 3-5 working day delivery turnaround) and can only be ordered by contacting us.
